Terms and Conditions VMT Madeira
The following terms and conditions are applicable to the services rendered by the company VMT Madeira – Catamaran trips, and any person, hereinafter referred to as the Client, intending to purchase tickets for catamaran trips through the internet site www.vmtmadeira.com, via email firstname.lastname@example.org, by telephone +351 291 224 900/+351 963 796 860, or directly from the VMT Madeira offices.
General travel conditions
The mandatory check-in ends 30 minutes before the departure time of any regular trip by VMT Madeira. Since punctuality is extremely important, and in the event of the late arrival of a Client, that is, if the vessel has already left or is in position to raise anchor once the remaining passengers are already on board, VMT Madeira reserves the right to reschedule the trip of that Client, according to the availability of the company;
VMT Madeira is not responsible for the loss or theft of tickets on the part of the Client, and should the client find themselves in this situation, the onus is the Client to produce proof of identification or purchase a new ticket;
All reservations that need to be paid in full at the offices of VMT Madeira, expire 30 minutes before the departure of the trip;
VMT Madeira reserves the right to cancel trips due to bad weather or for safety reasons. If Clients are not able to rebook a new trip, a refund will be granted in the same manner as payment was originally made;
Complaints about return of tickets or refunds must be made to the Agent responsible for the sale;
The Client may change, without cost, the date and time of their regular trip at least 24 hours before, subject to our availability. For special events and the New Year excursion, alterations or cancellations must be made up to 72 hours in advance. After this period, VMT Madeira reserves the right to refuse a refund. Exceptionally, in case of cancellation due to illness, hospitalisation, accident or death, and upon presentation of proof, VMT Madeira reserves the right to grant a partial or total reimbursement.
The price for families is only available for the 3 hour trips (Dolphins & Whales / Sunset) and for the 9 hour trips (Desertas / Fajãs);
This package includes 2 adults and 2 to 4 children, aged between 5 and 12 years.
Online reservations made 48 hours before the trip must be paid at the time of booking.
Payment can be made via Paypal or bank transfer;
The collected data will not be processed or stored in databases, serving only to send the confirmation, alteration or cancellation of the trip, as well as other important information to the Client;
Once proof of payment has been received, the electronic confirmation is sent to the Client and can be presented at check-in on a mobile device, without the need for a print out.
Lifetime Cetacean Watch Warranty
In the event of no sighting of cetaceans, there are no refunds. In this case, a second trip is offered free of charge to the original Clients, and the ticket is not transferable;
If it is not possible for the Client to make use of this offer on the following days or during their stay on the island, a ticket with a guarantee valid for 1 year will be issued upon presentation of personal identification, which will then be verified on the date of the 2nd trip.
The voucher must be presented on the Sight-seeing (Yellow Bus) along with the ticket and is intended for the sole and exclusive use of Clients who have bought the Dolphins & Whales or Sunset trips;
Guests can only use the shuttle in one direction, that is, from stop nº. 14 Carristur (Yellow Bus) until stop nº. 22, along the Monumental Road, to the Funchal Marina;
This service is available every day from 9h00 with intervals of approximately 20 minutes between each bus.
